UDA USA-The Program

The UDA-US Academy follows the success and demand of the UDA-UK Academy program located in Chester, England.

UDA at NMSU provides a fully integrated student experience; academically, athletically, socially and culturally.

What the players have to say about the process...

Eugenio Albo - 2019 Graduate

What  started as an idea of me going to England to continue my career as a footballer would have never happened without the help of one of the most experienced coaches i’ve had the pleasure to be coached by, Coach Jay Sparrow. He supported me to always play at my best. He gave me lifelong tips to find nothing but success in my future. His help and guidance through the exposure process was more than I could have ever asked for. His abundance of contacts in the football world helped me get seen and without his support, England would not have happened for me.  I thank him very much for that!

Justin Dvorak - 2019 Graduate

Coach Jay was the one who introduced me to UDA. He helped me with the soccer aspect of the program and it is because of Coach Jay that I fully understand and appreciate the style and the kind of player and student UDA wants. I wouldn’t have this opportunity if it wasn’t for him .

Austin Schulz 0 2019 Graduate

Thank you for having the confidence and believing in me enough to put your name on the line to recommend me to coaches at UDA.
For any players that you are recruiting, they should know that you are a highly respected in the coaching profession in San Antonio soccer community. You have a reputation for being a tireless worker and like any great coach, you are a student of the game. Your philosophy and practice preparation separate you from most club programs. You have always stressed the fundamentals and learning how to play the game the “right way” and as a result your players are known to have a high “Soccer IQ”.

Mathew Dauer - 2019 Graduate

Jay Sparrow has played a huge part in my college decision. I didn’t know if I wanted to stay in the USA or simply not play in college at all. He inspired me to want to go overseas and play football for an Academy in England! UDA. We met a couple of times to discuss logistics and he put a good word in for me with the Directors and coaching staff at UDA. On the pitch, Coach Jay trained us and pushed us to the limits because he saw potential in all of us. He’s really changed my life and now its time for me to begin a new chapter of my life in England! Thanks Coach Jay!
